Spring is Here and Big Domain Sales Are Blooming - A Million Dollars Worth of .Coms and 11 ccTLDs Stood Out in the Aftermarket Garden

Flowers aren't the only thing blossoming now that spring has arrived. Over the past two weeks the domain aftermarket has been in full bloom with so many solid sales that 19 of them qualified for our Year to Date Top 100 Sales Chart - an extraordinarily high number for a single reporting period. The most beautiful rose in that sales garden was a $699,999 sale of ABTC.com that MediaOptions Founder Andrew Rosener made via Afternic. In addition to leading our latest bi-weekly all-extension Top 20 Sales Chart by a wide margin, that sale is one of the five biggest publicly reported sales so far in 2025.

A pair of solid six-figure sales followed. Josue Gio ( the CEO & Founder of GuruHotel) sold HechoEnMexico.com ("Made in Mexico" in Spanish) for $150,000, also through Afternic, then Sedo weighed in with WeaveRobotics.com at €100,000 ($113,000).

Also in the spotlight was yet another powerhouse performance from the ccTLDs who took more than half of the chart entries - 11 of 20 overall. I know you're immediately thinking .ai - and yes, they continued to light up the sky but the biggest sale in this category went to #4 Brain.co, a name that sold for $83,725 through an Efty.com lander.

Next it was time for .ai to flex some customary muscle, sweeping the next five spots and taking nine places overall. Namecheap accounted for all but one of those, including the biggest, #5 Conquer.ai at $64,900. The ccTLDs also got a boost from one of the biggest .cz (Czech Republic) sales we've ever seen. That was a $30,000 sale of #19 Autoskola.cz ("driving school" in Czech) that was brokered by Nathan Parker at Above.com.

With the .coms and ccTLDs running rampant, there was no room at the Top 20 Inn for the non .com gTLDs this week, though there were a couple of nice five-figure sales in that group that you will see in the supplemental five-figure sales chart after the leader board.

Here is how the leaders stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday, April 13, 2025

Country Codes

With so many five-figure ccTLD sales listed in the all extension section above, you've already seen the 14 biggest ones in this category! That $83,725 sale of Brain.co at Efty.com led the parade but the next eight positions on our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart all went to .ai domains with Conquer.ai setting the pace for that TLD at $64,900 via Namecheap.

Sedo had the five biggest sales that you haven't seen yet with a run that started with #15 Penn.co at $9,888. Nameshift.com also got into the act with two or the three sales that tied for the final position in Allegro.ch and JCS.nl at €6,000 ($6,780) apiece.

Non .com gTLDs

With all of the fireworks in the other categories, the non .com gTLDs were overshadowed this time out but the same can't be said about Sedo who accounted for every sale on our latest Non .Com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart! You can't get more dominant than that. They led things off with a $19,888 sale of Immigrants.org (a name they sold for DomainMarket.com Founder Mike Mann) and followed that with another in five figures - One.vision at $11,300.

Like Sedo, the .nets are quite happy about how they past couple of weeks went. They swept 12 places on the leader board - the most we have seen from that TLD in years. .Org, who often leads this this group, had to settled for four spots this time out.

Here is how the non .com gTLD leaders stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday, April 13, 2025:
